What is the age limit?
All women 18+ are welcome. We are proud to have a diverse community, including our veteran / "goldie" members!
What do I need to bring?
You'll need gloves, handwraps, a yoga mat, and dumbbells (for Tuesdays/Thursdays). Detailed info, including where to buy and a glove size chart, will be in your Welcome Letter.
What makes Glove Up Girl! different from a gym?
We offer outdoor/barn-style boxing fitness in a women-only community. We focus on structured boxing (mitts, bags) combined with bootcamp, track progress during monthly camps, and have a core focus on community outreach (Pay It Forward / Paw It Forward).
Can I switch time slots?
Yes! 12-session members can make up classes anytime and switch one time slot per day. 20-session members can also switch one time slot per day if needed (missed sessions do not carry over).
Do I need to be experienced in boxing?
Not at all! All levels are welcome, from complete beginners to experienced participants.
What if it rains?
We've got you covered! All sessions take place outdoors with access to an indoor barn-style space, so workouts will continue safely rain or shine.
Can I join if I am not a Candlewood Estate resident?
Yes! Non-residents must sign in on a register provided by the instructor at the guardhouse. A valid ID or driver's license must be presented for access.
Can I do a trial session?
Yes! One taster session is available for R150. You must book in advance to secure your spot.
Do I get a refund for classes on public holidays?
Unfortunately, no refunds are given for public holidays.
